Robert Oppenheimer was the greatest leader to atomic weaponry because of his leadership shown in putting together the atomic bomb. Before he was born his parents devoted their lives to making Robert’s life the best it could. In his early life he wasn’t normal. His parents wouldn’t even let him go play in the streets or parks! His parents taught him to not be noisy and just be polite. But a sad thing was that because he was so smart by the time he was five he didn’t even know how to play with children his age. He had very good manners and never caused trouble but sadly he had no friends. When he was 5 his family went to England to see his grandfather and other relatives. General Leslie Groves asked a lot of scientist how to make a bomb like that and almost every one of the explanations that he didn’t understand. Then Robert came along and explained it to him.For this he put Robert in charge of the who would help with the Manhattan Project. Also, he was in charge of where it would happen, so he proposed that a new town would be created not made, this town was later named Los Alamos. “"He's a genius. A real genius... Why, Oppenheimer knows about everything. He can talk to you about anything you bring up. Well, not exactly. I guess there are a few things he doesn't know about. He doesn't know anything about sports.” Said the General Leslie Groves.”(PBS) To get people to help with the Manhattan Project he just asked and if they said yes only then he would tell them to go to get started.
