Rocky Ford Movie Theater

Improved Essays
In my opinion the city of Rocky Ford only has one real way to hear all their daily news and that is from the writers at this institution. However I feel like you only provide positive news and don’t ever tell the people of Rocky Ford their towns issues and things that could be improved. So I’ve decided to inform you on one of the biggest issues and the way that it could be improved if people with power and access to the public eye like you could share this story. The issue I’m addressing is the local Rocky Ford movie theater. The reason I chose this issue over any other issue is because this one is HIGHLY solvable and it would be gaining way more money than they would be losing. The Rocky Ford movie theater plays 1 movie for the whole week and does not have a vast option of movies to choose from like all other movie theaters. For instance at least 2-4 weeks ago they were playing the motion picture, “Sing” but I know for a fact that a lot of adults and older teens didn’t go to the …show more content…
However if there is somebody in town who wants to see a movie, they may be greatly disappointed with the movie selection. So to fix this issue they could play different movies on different days of the week. For instance, kids night on Monday, Drama on Tuesday, Horror on Wednesday, etc. Also if they are playing different movies every day, chances are that more people are going to be interested in at least one of the playing movies. Also maybe for one week out of each month they could have a classic movies playing that week so that elderly people can watch some of their favorites as well, which would bring in even more money that is desperately needed for this

One of the reasons why this era was known as the golden days of movies was because it was during the time of the depression where people wanted to escape…

What if theater was free to the public? I encourage you to go look up prices to Hamilton in order to really appreciate this concept. What if performance art was no longer limited to the few for whom it is was financially feasible to throw away a couple hundred dollars on a theater ticket. Hello class, This TV show, The Restaurant Impossible, provided hand full of examples how disgusting food place can be, if the owner and staff doesn’t follow sanitation norms. I’ve seen findings of mold inside the refrigerator and under the sink, because those pieces of equipment haven’t been cleaned properly. Dirty dining room tables and floor - those violations may lead to food cross contamination. It’s can be easily prevented by simple wiping down the table with some sort of cleaner, and sweeping and mopping the flow with soapy water. Their next findings were way worst!…

This Halloween I observed costumes worn by students on campus and costumes worn by audience members at a showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show I attended that day. I assessed that the individuals I saw on campus held the status of a college student because they were from the ages of 18 to 21 and spent the holiday with peers at the IUB college campus. I also determined that they were from low-to-upper middle class families because they had some form of expendable income to spend on Halloween costumes. The audience members at the RHPS showing varied in age, gender identification, sexual orientation, and social group identification, however there was no obvious groupings or trends regarding their social class.…

This is a misleading question because a ticket at a theater today costs $7.50 whereas back in the 50’s it was less than a dollar. That is, to make the comparisons meaningful, we need to control for inflation. There is a website that does just that – it looks at the top grossing films of all time NOT adjusted for inflation, and then adjusted for inflation. The differences really highlight how important it is to adjust dollar figures for inflation when doing comparisons over time. Here is the website:…
