The theme that S.C. Hitin was saying in the book was Well it would stay gold and the meaning is that stay smart and never give up. Well some interesting fact about the book is that Pony was just writing a paper about his life just like in the movie at the start. I did not like the ending because it was all just a paper about his life. I also did not like how they never show who was who in the story. While the book and movie have many similarities and differences, the Book was more effective in telling the story. To start I liked both the book and the movie, but there are some differences. The first comparable scene is when Well, when they all went to the movies. Well when Johnny Dally and Pony went to the movies and see the girls. Well
