Sam did not know the name of the person down the hall, they had been smart enough not to reveal that, but he did know that they were part of the French Resistance. They had grown up on a goat farm with their family, a large group that worked the land and cared for their animals. When the Nazi’s invaded, they had taken in the children of the Jewish family that lived next door. As far as the little goat knew, those children were still safe, as were their family. They had left to work with the resistance, letting one of the kids pretend to be them. He also knew that they were not a girl, no matter what the Nazi’s kept call them. He was pretty sure infection had already set in from previous torture session, his skin feeling calmy and the shivers running through his body, but there was no reason to make it any worse.
“Who?” Sam asked, not sure what they were asking. Maybe his French was worse than he thought. When him and the little goat started talking, they made fun of his poor accent. They had spent their hours locked up together honing their respective foreign languages. They stilled talked in French however, since many of the german’s seemed more confused by that than English.
