Winning this scholarship will enable me to finish my dreams of becoming a nurse in order to utilize my knowledge and proper techniques to provide effective healthcare to refugee; most importantly, the necessary educations on the use of herbal treatments in order to prevent the investing of inferior herbs that are harmful to the human body. My dreams and aspirations of becoming a nurse is strongly influenced by the experiences that my family and I and the refugees endured during our stay in the refugee camps. The fact that medical services, education, and basic medical advises could have saved thousands of lives is a constant reminder to me of the importance of pursuing my nursing career. Another reason behind my drive Its always have been a dream of mine to give back to the less fortunate that are still enduring what my family and I endured due to the lack of proper medical services. For the last fifteen years that my family and have been in the U.S., I’ve watched my mother get up every day in the morning at 6:00 a.m. to go to her factory job regardless of the amount of pain she’s in from standing on cement floor eight hours a day forty hours a week.
