It is unfortunate to admit that Airport Security today, unlike Flight Safety, continues to be driven and to progress mainly due to events that have already taken place. In other words, it is still mainly a reactive industry and it ought to move forward to the next level, that is of being Proactive and even Predictive.
By concentrating in mainly two aspects of Security, it is the authors’ opinion that we can achieve this. One is in the way we acquire process and disseminate security data and intelligence and the other is by promoting Motivation at …show more content…
Persistence is the ability of the individual to keep on going when things are not going right, in other words it relates to the amount of resilience one possesses.
We should not confuse job satisfaction with motivation even though the former can lead to the latter. A person can be job satisfied because they perhaps do not need to excel or go the extra mile.
Even though keeping the workforce motivated is very important in any industry, there are those industries that really cannot afford not to do so due to the devastating effect this could have to the community as a whole.
