I remember the most serene and magical feeling wash over me. I was struck with amazement that something so small and simple could bring forward such emotions and feelings. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful music. In that moment, I continued to define my passion for music—I wanted to be a violinist. My little eight-year-old self leaned over toward my mom and declared my revelation, that I wanted to have an impact on people just like that violinist had on me. My mom smiled and told me that we would look into it, half dismissing the notion due to my frequent requests in doing everything and anything thing that sparked the slightest interest. However, I was relentless, I continued to bug my both my parents until they realized that this was something I felt strongly about. We did some research and found that my school did not offer string lessons. Fortunately, a couple years later, we were introduced to a music teacher from our school district. She discovered that I desperately wanted to learn how to play the violin, and offered private lessons and the chance to join their large orchestra. We jumped at this amazing opportunity and began lessons early in the morning, every Wednesday before my school started. Once I started, I realized that I wanted to be the best I could be. I knew this decision would require commitment to work hard. Every aspect that goes into becoming a musician, I have been able to incorporate into my everyday
