Senior Year-Personal Narrative

Decent Essays
Coming back from summer vacation is something not many look forward to. For me it was different. I enjoy seeing people I haven’t seen in awhile. This summer was one of my favorite ones yet. No curfew and having fun is what summer was all about. From going to the quarries to traveling, I enjoyed all of summer. I will never forget the numerous times we took the boat out on Prior Lake with a bunch of friends. Seeing friends at school is a nice feeling. Closer to graduation is by far the best feeling. Walking into classes hoping your best friends are in there and when they are you know it is going to be a fun class. Senior year is a slide. Senior year is the party year. The first day back is known as syllabus day then after that is when you have

"Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence" I have had many ups and downs over the course of my life thus far. One specific example of this took place during my freshman year of high school. When I started high school it was very challenging for me, partially due to the fact that; during this time, I was lazy, unmotivated and did not really take school seriously. This by far is one of my biggest regrets to this day. Who would ever think that not trying during my freshman year would continue to follow me throughout the course of my academic career.…

For the past year, I could only provide an indefinite answer to a frequently asked question, How was your freshman year? In fact, those of us who experienced our freshman year could be addressed as “college veterans” will never initiate a conversation with regard to the past year. Perhaps they consider that the freshman year was not as consummate as they initially planned. I cannot judge my first year in college was successful or frustrating, but I feel I benefited from the meritorious experiences and practical knowledge gained from my college life. In my opinion, no matter what goals one wishes to achieve in college, whether its grade, love, health, or sense of accomplishment, one has to be prepared for both failures and…

My best day of spring break was when we were driving home from Ohio and we saw a huge car meet. We had to stop by because there were so many cars to see. Before we walked into the meet, we stopped by Starbucks to get coffee. From there we walked to the meet. It was a pretty exciting walk because you could hear cars, music, and lots of talking.…

Over the Summer, I stayed with my best friend in Missouri. We had an exciting time on their boat. I learned how to play skip-bo, which can be very competitive. It was the first time I’d been so far from home without my parents. Spending time on the boat, playing cards and getting over my malady, in the hot Missouri sun, was one of the best times of my life.…

In high school my most outstanding example of a time when I set an example as a student leader was my sophomore year in high school. My sophomore year of high school I was brought up to the varsity soccer team, the team that I was on was not extremely hard working and or dedicated. As a sophomore I was afraid to stand up and verbally tell the entire team that we need to step it up, or we are going to have a horrible season, so I decided to make my statement apparent by my actions. First, I started by always being the first one to every practice, putting pressure on my other teammates to do the same, in result everyone started to arrive to practice earlier. The second step I took was difficult since I was one of the youngest players and the…

The day of August 27, 2012 I was officially titled a freshman. One look down those unknown red and blue walls, will forever change my perspective of high school. There was an instant moment of disbelief in my freshman, I was terrified, and no thought came to mind as to how I was going to survive high school for the next four years. Of course I knew it'll be different from my tiny middle school, but will it be like the cliché movies about the upcoming of age, or resemble the happiest times of life. From that first day, I knew I wasn’t like everyone else.…

In the Spring of last year, it was my Junior year, one of the most critical years in high school. It’s the year that colleges look at the most, also it was the year that I was in some of the most challenging classes. Mostly honors, a lot of homework, and tests to go along with it. Studying would take me until late at night, and even on weekends, all day long. When it’s the end of the term everyone checks their grades for their report cards, and progress reports.…

What I did This Summer This summer I did a lot of things, I traveled, went zip lining, and most importantly I spent time with family. This is probably one of the best summers I have ever had because my mom took off work to be with me and my brothers. Usually my dad stays home and he really isn't that fun. On the other half I got to go to my Dad's house because the way it goes for summers for me is that I have to do. The best thing I had to do all summer is I went to Alabama with my aunt and my grandma.…
