Using the various types of grammar, punctuation, and plagiarism checker tools to write and prepare IT papers will be essential for future classes. When writing, one can get so involved with deep thought that we tend not to focus on writing techniques, so it is nice to know that checker tools are in place to highlight what needs correction. I recently found a website that provides an immediate writing analysis of your document that focuses on grammar, and plagiarism as well as some other practices called PaperRater. Once in PaperRater, you have a couple of options on how to submit your document. One, you can copy and paste it or two; you can upload it from a file.…

This little tip helped me to sharpen my critical analytical skills. Now that I am constantly asking myself similar questions as to those of my professor, I am able to break every piece of writing into small topics. Thus, I can grasp the main idea of every writer easily. Not only I learned how to read critically, but I also learned how to identify different writing styles. To clarify, whenever I am in the process of breaking the information into small pieces, I have identified that certain authors have the same patterns in their writings.…

I also learned many transitions are only useful for certain sentences. For example, I wouldn’t be able to use the transition word “finally” at the beginning of my introduction Moreover, I have also learned to make the title of my essays more interesting and strong. My revision reflects this because when I was peer reviewing, many of my classmates told me to add an exclamation point after America to make my title stronger. Furthermore, I have also learned to put titles in quotation marks, even when they are in the middle of a…
