There are numerous types of sexual assaults one can be convicted of. Sexual assault can happen anywhere, to anyone at anytime. Some examples of this can be, rape, incest, fondling, sexual harassment, and forciable sodmomy. These instances can happen simultaneously. All over the world sexual assault is a major problem; however, in college settings there are many other factors that contributes into this problem, to make matters worse.
Sexual assault on colleges campuses has become a major issues, scaring many who attend college campus. Although colleges give great classes about sexual assault and how to prevent it from happening in the first year in campus. Is that really enough to keep it from happening and encouraging victims to report their cases? These criminals who are receiving little to no jail time are not taught a lesson, so others criminals are more likely to commit the same crime. There will continue to be an increase of sexual assault and victims not speaking up if society stays on the path they are on now.
