Books show how life has its atrocious moments and it’s not something like a TV show would produce, where most problems would be solved in no time flat. Reading books break that barrier of being fake and shows the reader how hard life can become for a person who is trying to survive in the world. Next, Faber explains how books give people time to relax and not worry so much about having to rush to finish the book.
