Should People Be Allowed To Vote Essay

In the US there are 318.9 million people 242.4 million are 18 and over and they can vote nevertheless there are 76.5 million kids 17 and under who can not vote.There are 130 million people who voted in 2012 and if we had kids 17 and under vote it could go up 1 vote to 76 million more votes just on letting kids vote that could bring up to 200 million more votes. If they let kids vote.“Before the vietnam war was going on the age for voting was 21, nevertheless when the war of vietnam came they lowered the voting age to 18”. Which we have done this before in the past, Just wealthy white men could vote, then landowners who were white and male could vote, then only men could vote over 21, later on men and women could vote at 21, then black people could vote, finally during vietnam it switched again to 18. Currently people think that kids between 10-17 year olds are not educated on government. However they believe that because of how kids act and what they do, also most people believe when you can die for your country you should be able to vote for it to. Nevertheless,we are all US citizens to and we should have a absolute say in our government. Like in the united kingdom they lowered their voting age, from 18 to 16 however,we are well educated on it in middle school and they could educate us more.

In conclusion, even though it is often argued that kids should not be allowed to vote. It is clear to see that we need kids opinions to. Nevertheless,we are US citizens to and we should have a absolute say in our government.Like in the united kingdom they lowered their voting age, from 18 to 16 neveless,We are well educated on it in middle school and they could educate us more. That way, they might lower the voting age from 18 to a lower age.My hope for the future is to have kids
