a) To answer the question “What we are doing?” to deliver on our Sibanye-Stillwater strategy the operating model needs to define the measurable objectives used. With the Sibanye-Stillwater Vision which states “Superior Value Creation For All Our Stakeholder” the operating plan needs to deliver and be aligned to the strategy. The Sibanye-Stillwater operating model strives to make us “One” from our employees to our stakeholders. Our people is one of our greatest assets who contribute towards great decision making and specialists in their different fields of work. Our components of the Operating model flow into each other to create superior value as the end goal. At Sibanye-Stillwater it all starts with reducing costs and increased reserves. Reducing costs is an objective all of our employees need to contribute to for making our Organization a success. Our commodity reserves are our heart of the organization and being a price taker our business needs to run optimally and save on costs wherever possible. There are continuous exploration projects in action to increase the life of our mines. With the recent purchases of Platinum mines in Rustenburg and the Stillwatermining group in America which are a High grade, low-cost palladium producer we are delivering on increasing our reserves and continuously decrease …show more content…
To answer the question on why we are doing it the Sibanye-Stillwater Purpose is clear in stipulating that Our Mining Improves lives. Our vision is Superior Value Creation for all our stakeholders through mining our multi-commodity resources in a safe and healthy environment and answer the question where we want to business to go to. Lastly, how we will be doing our business in the form of our Sibanye-Stillwater CARES values.
The Sibanye-Stillwater Strategy is defined within the following components.
Our Purpose – Our Mining Improves lives. We improve lives by employing thousands of people who provide for their families, we give back to the communities with many socio-economic developments and we contribute to the Economy of Southern Africa.
