The two committees represent both of their parties respectively but what else do these two committees actually do. The DNC helps promote democratic ideology and it the party’s activities. During presidential elections the DNC works closely with the candidate that was chosen. This leads to one of the obligations that the DNC helps get a main candidate for the Democratic Party. The DNC establishes the rules for the caucuses and the primaries which choose the delegates for the Democratic National Convention. The other task that the DNC does for the presidential candidate is helping fundraise. The way DNC does this is through party dues and through taking donations. Some of these donors are interest groups/ PACS. The Republican National Committee is very similar with the things they do for their party such as fundraising and the place they get funds from individuals, interest groups, and political action committees. The connection through the groups and political action committees is clear that money is involved in both elections and public policy. Are these contributions making a difference in the United States
