The relief in the 3 R’s, was aimed towards getting people the money that the needed to help buy them food, shelter, and/or medical care. It was also used to help get the Americans back onto their feet. As a part of getting the money, the government distributed federal premiums to those in need of the financial help. FERA, the Federal Emergency Relief Administration, was one of the programs that helped with that.
The recovery was aimed at getting the economy stable again. This was done by encouraging the economy with programs such as the Civilian Conservation Corps and Works Progress Administration, which were programs that were created to give new jobs for the unemployed Americans and began to jump-start the economy's recovery. . These programs helped Americans get back onto their feet and back to work to start producing money again, which helped bring down the unemployment rate which was at twenty-five
