Now after I’ve been working there for over two years and becoming a shift leader, I’ve experienced many conflicts with team members and even customers. Things like team members wanting to get off early because the store was lacking customers or customers complaining due to the long waits in line just to receive their smoothie. When I would encounter these sorts of problems with my team members and customers, I’d handle the situations in a nice manner. A manner that doesn’t hurt the business reputation, nor be inconsiderate towards the way other individuals may feel. For instance, when team members want to get off, I ask them a few questions. Smoothie King has taught me to always treat our customers as guests. No matter how rude they are or how quite they may be. When customers come with complaints on smoothies, then we are suppose to fix their problems. We even take the time to make them a new smoothie. For free!
Smoothie King has taught me how to be nice to other individuals when they may not always deserve it. Basically treat others how you would want to be treated.
