The emergence of sneaker culture had been influence by sports world where the sneaker companies had produced sneakers for the athletes to wear. (Chan, 2013). It is a stepping stone for the sneaker companies to create such revolutionary sneakers which had made it a global phenomenon nowadays. The sneaker culture had been unknowingly created by the sneaker enthusiasts or sneaker fanatics where it began as a subculture and later emerged as a global culture. (Cunningham, 2008: 1). The word ‘culture’ is well-defined by the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition of University of Minnesota (n.d.) “as shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs and understanding that are learned by socialization” which is related to the definition given by the Texas A&M University (n.d.) “as the system of knowledge shared by a relatively large group of people.”
