Soft skills are important in any work field. They are a part of daily life. Soft skills are personal characteristics that help someone effectively and peacefully work with other people. Soft skills needed in the healthcare field, as a surgeon, are having empathy, having a strong work ethic, good time management, self confidence, and you need to be able to deal with pressure.
Empathy is a good soft skill to have in the healthcare field. You need to show empathy towards everyone whether that be your patients or colleagues. Empathy is the ability to understand and share feelings of another. You need to be able to emphasize the difficult situations faced by others.
You need a strong work ethic. A work ethic, in a nutshell, is just how good or bad
