Everyone loves anyone who can play music, and not everyone can do so. For those, world has something called, Studio Engineering or being a "roadie" where one is a part of a team who needs these few of many skills. A sound engineer must have field experience or a degree in sound and audio tech, and a good estimation for the positioning equipment to give the best possible sound for everyone. One needs a lot of field experience or a degree in sound and audio tech, and a good estimation for the positioning equipment to give the best possible sound. What is it? "An audio engineer is concerned with the recording, manipulation, mixing and reproduction of sound. Many audio engineers creatively use technologies to produce sound for film, radio, television, music, electronic products and computer games. Alternatively, the term audio engineer can refer to a scientist or professional engineer who holds a B.Sc. or M.Sc. who designs, develops and builds new audio technologies working within the field of acoustical engineering." - ("Studio Engineer") To summarize the job is to give the best possible tonal clarity, sound, and make the sound enjoyable for an audience or a single person. So what does one use in this job, People will be working with high end equipment such as mixer boards, amp heads, drums, and multiple softwares such as reaper, bias fx, therefor needing an education. Keep in mind making the best sound possible for everyone. Now the term "roadie" that was mentioned before, that is someone who goes to tour with a band as their crew to help them set up for every concert or venue they play. Which is too a part of sound engineering as one is making the sound generate from the musicians to the audience for all to enjoy. People sadly need to go to college, that great place where all ones hopes and freedom get back to school after someone just graduated. Somebody of average skills will normally take 3-6 years depending on how hard a worker someone is, How fast a learner someone is, and how much experience they already have. Although someone who has worked hard to make a name for themselves have made it in without a degree. As "Many audio engineers creatively use technologies to produce sound for film, radio, television, music, electronic products and computer games." - ("Audio Engineer") But one in that type of work needs years of experience and has to be known by a few people and good at the job. When first starting out there is a totem pole everyone goes through everywhere in every job. Someone is always the fresh meat, the people just starting out. These people are looked over by someone called their "mentor" to make sure everything is correct and the learning process is there and not wasting anyone's time. These are also the thing called internships if it's at a record label. Then there's the middle men, the ones who've been working for a few or more years than most. This is where the paychecks start to really make the wives sing. The paychecks start increasing by someone's work ethic which is all up to the bosses to decide. At the end of the
