The boys would be token from their moms and not be able to see them again till they turned 20. Which then that is when they were allowed to marry. The Spartans had a military strategy called the phalanx. Which was made up of 500 men that had long spears and a shield. The reason for this they tried out numbering their enemy. The goal of every Spartan women was to give birth to healthy sons.

The Athenians main god was Athena which was a girl goddess. Athena was the goddess of wisdom, of warfare, and of crafts. She ranked as Zeus’s favorite child and one of the most powerful of the 12 olympian gods. Many rulers sought her power of wisdom through government and military matters.
