I am inspired to become a spiritual counselor.Looking back over my life, I think of where I am now. I’ve been spiritually inspired by Christ and by my own desire to help to help and encourage others to do better and be better to themselves and others. I believe that this will equip me to help them in making more decisive decisions spiritually through Christ, and not of their own ways of thinking and doing. The scripture states in Romans 12:2 KJV “ And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God”. Through God’s merciful grace I hope to accomplish this. I feel that studying this field will contribute towards expanding my horizons in education and

In the past I was the one whom was in need and struggled. If it wasn’t for the positive people in my life I could have been on a dark path of troubles and destruction. Psalms: 34:17 KJV states “ The righteous cry, and the lord heareth, and deliverth them out of all their troubles”. I was introduced and taught about God and his Forgiveness. I over came and I’m still over coming my many struggles. Spirituality is a battle that has to be fought constantly, you have to learn and grow. This growth is an essential part of the biblical studies and I am determined to understand and excel in the course. Growing up I was raised by a strong spiritual woman “My mother” who believed in putting God first. As she grew in the ministry I grew with her. She taught me that church was and is more than just attending every Sunday. My mother also taught me that prayer is not about asking for what you want, but it is about having a closer relationship with God. The many teachings she taught me inspired me to share that bond with my own son. I want to teach him to look for more positive role models and to understand that God is the most positive role
