Squealer is a convincing towards the other animals. Squealer is very good at making the other animals believe him. “The others said of Squealer that he could turn black into white” (6). This shows that the animals are able to be manipulated by Squealer. Furthermore, this also illustrates that the animals must have been manipulated by Squealer, for them to think he is convincing. Squealer’s camaraderie with Napoleon is very important. “Bravery is not enough.” said Squealer. “Loyalty and obedience are more important” (18). This shows that Squealer needs not only the pigs, but the animals to be loyal. This also indicates that Squealer is trying to tell the animals that being brave only goes so far. Animals must follow the rules and listen, so they won’t be punished. Squealer makes it seen that Napoleon is always right. “That evening Squealer explained privately to the other animals that Napoleon had never in reality been opposed to the windmill. THe windmill was, in fact, Napoleon’s own creation” (19). This explains that Squealer will make up any story to prove that all good ideas are Napoleons. This also illustrates that Squealer is a true comrade of Napoleon's. IN conclusion, Napoleon can count on Squealer to convince the animals whatever he needs him to, so the animals stay loyal to
