In my writing, I will be telling you about the challenges and life of being a state trooper. A state trooper has a very dangerous job and is in charge of a lot of territory. They are called state troopers because they can travel the whole state. Most of the time they are gave one county to patrol in the state though. A state trooper has one of the dangerous jobs in the world and in this writing I will tell you why. First, I will start off with the duties of a state patrolman. Some requirements for state troopers may include a minimum age, specific training and physical capabilities. The police academy is a twelve to fourteen weeks in a training program in which police recruits go through the physical and mental challenges that will prepare them for day to day situations on the job site. Once they are in the academy they are taught skills in civil rights, traffic control, first aid, self-defense and the use of firearms. Every police officer must be shot by a Taser gun in the academy as well. The people who successfully complete the physical agility test will be invited to a written examination that same afternoon. People who make a score of at least 70 percent will be considered to advance to the comprehensive oral board interview and possible background investigation. They protects us in every way. Driving on roadways is a privilege and they risk their lives daily to protect us in something that we don’t even have to do. If you become a state trooper then you might be at risk of losing your life but you should always have a job. Also if something happens in the world, then you will have skills and tools to help you survive and that will give you an edge on everyone else. State troopers are employed by that government, which is one of the largest employers in the nation. Which means that you will have a good chance of keeping the job. You can also retire after about twenty or thirty years of service, which is extremely early for a job retirement. You also get a ton of benefits that the government provides to you and i talked about them earlier in the paper. So all in all, I believe that being a state trooper is a very good job that has great benefits and i would take it any day over a lot of the jobs now days. It is hard to find good jobs in today’s society, so i say if you want to be a state trooper then go for it with full
