Steve Miller Hall Of Fame

Improved Essays
In order to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an artist must have released a record 25 years prior to the current year of induction. When deciding if an artist is qualified, elements such as the artist’s innovation, musical influence and length of career are considered. Based on these factors, Steve Miller should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Steve Miller was born October 5, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Miller began learning how to play the guitar at age four, from Les Paul, who was a regular visitor at his home. At age 12, Miller and his friend, Boz Scaggs, formed a blues band named the Marksmen Combo. It wasn’t until 1967 that the Steve Miller Band came into existence, after signing with Capitol Records.
