So, we see you talk often about how literature impacts your life. Could you explain more on this topic?
Well, as we all know there are many aspects to what things we read, this includes books whether nonfiction or fiction, blogs like yours, or the daily newspapers. All have something to offer us in a way of learning. Take newspapers, they are full of articles ranging in many interests. We can learn about other countries and the issues going on there or we can read up on current events within our own nation. Political excerpts that discuss the public opinion is a big one.
Has a book or screenplay turned movie ever effected your way of thinking?
Oh most definitely! There will always be some sort of change that the film industry does. …show more content…
(laughs) I am not much for the author writing in what I would call a story format. I much rather have it wrote in a matter of fact manner detailing the events of the figures life as opposed to making it into a fairy tale. This holds true for true crime novels, another favorite topic I like to read. However, I do read up on many genres including fiction. The open dialogue between realism and imagination balancing interpretation with the reader is fascinating. I love how it can open the mind up to many sides of human nature.
Do you think literature provides a reflection of life?
Reading about how a villain creates a conflict and how it is resolved through the consequences can replicate real life situations. It provides the reader with awareness how not to behave less you want to end up the bad guy. Books are able to represent human conduct through the characters personalities. You are presented with moral dilemmas, attitude towards society, and disposition to which they exhibit.
