1. Title: A Child Called It. Published: 1995. Summary: A child name Dave Pelzer who his abusive mother refers to as it. He was hit, beaten, starved and torture by his mom for years. His whole family (dad, and brothers) all was aware it was happening. His mother wouldn’t let him eat for weeks at a time. To the point he had to sneak scrapes from the trash. His mother found out he was doing this and poured ammonia in the trash so he couldn’t eat. After years of this happening the school finally helped him escaped his mother.
