This story “To kill a mockingbird” has been very interesting so far. These 7 chapters so far are very simple but interesting. Even though I don’t really know what is going to happen, or what the main idea is , I anticipate that this story might take several turns and have lots of situations in the story. I sense that there is going to be some excitement and lots of trouble in “To kill a mockingbird”. I can notice that perhaps there can be some depressing moments. Some ups and some downs, but at the end the story will eventually have a pleasing ending. The main characters so far are Jem, Scout,Dill,Atticus, and Mr.Radley.Atticus is the father of Jem and Scout. In this novel Atticus acts as a gentle respectful person who treats his kids well.

Dill doesn’t live their, but he comes to visit that place once in awhile. They play games with each other every day, like dares. Dill dared Jem to touch Mr.Radley's house in chapter 2 because he knew that he was afraid of his house. But at the end he did end up touching the house. After Dill left back to the Meridens, Jem and Scout had to start school soon. Scout was very excited to start school, but when she started she had already gotten in trouble on the first day by the teacher. Not only that ,but because she already knew how to read the teacher told her she could no longer read at home anymore. After weeks went on, Scout ran home one day passing Mr.Radley’s house like always ,but something caught her attention that day. There was a piece of brand new gum on a knot hole on a tree. Scout ended up taking it ,but later got in trouble by her big brother Jem. The next day there was another thing on the knot hole when she walking with Jem. They thought that it was someone's hiding place, but when they found out it wasn’t someone’s hiding place they started taking the things. Everyday they had something new in that knot hole for them. But one day, when they went to go look at the knot hole, the hole was covered with cement. Mr.Radley had covered it up because he said the tree was
