The First reason I supported Jonas when he escaped is, they don't get to experience the fun and exhilarating things in life. On page seventy nine to eighty Jonas receives his first memory the Giver gave him, it was the memory of sledding in the snow. When Jonas was receiving this memory he was exhilarated and he didn't even know what snow was. He liked it so much he didn't want the memory to end. On page ninety six and ninety seven Jonas receives the memory of a rainbow. Jonas was seeing all the colours in the community, then he asked the Giver why there is no one else can see then.
