Other refugees attempt to make the voyage to somewhere more safe by land, risking their lives in overstuffed trucks. These poor and desperate people are leaving their home country but unfortunately have nowhere to flee to and no country seems to be welcoming of the refugees.
In the 1930s in Germany with the rise of Hitler, Jews quickly became the enemy and a plan to eliminate them took it’s course. For the very few Jews of many that were lucky enough to flee the country before the holocaust was in full swing, only found themselves hopeless for a place to reside in safety. After the holocaust was over and World War II ended, the emotionally scarred survivors also tried to flee Germany and reach someplace safer.
