The song was about the Iraq invasion and it questioned why the government tries to mask the truth of what’s really going on behind the scenes, which prompted the question, “You depend on our protection yet you feed us lies from the tablecloth?” This was referring to how they depend on us, but, they feed us more lies. It could be seen that what brought them together was the heritage that each of them shared that ushered in an age for rock to inspire fans to think about the situations that they find themselves. The song represents the corrupt L.A. lifestyle in the way that they present it, but, in the eyes of the band, it seems more about bringing awareness to ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder, in kids and adults. But the song does seem to reflect more on their lives and Armenian heritage like lines such as “eating seeds” and “do you own disorder” to tie links between the Armenian government and its people. This piece does in fact fit within their musical career for advocating that people should pay more attention to what their government is doing. With their song ATWA they wanted people to recognize Charles Manson’s view on the preservation of wildlife. From there they moved on to the Armenian genocide in their proclaimed song “Prison Song”. That is why they differ from the genre that they share with other heavy metal bands. They fit somewhere between alternative and progressive
