Tattoos Influencing Job Opportunities of People
Tattoos and piercings should not influence people’s job opportunities. In a telephone interview with Audrey Thomas a renowned labor rights activist, she indicated that “this falls under discrimination” (Thomas, 2017). She also argued that the article “Hire the person, not the body” which was publicized on the website www.laborrights.com states that “people should be hired for their skills and talents, not what they look like”. More information on this topic can be found in the book Body Art: a revolution and the article “discriminating against people’s looks”.
