Team Captain's Dares

As we practice, I notice that no one invites the new girl to join us. Everyone practices with their own group, not even noticing the presence of the girl. Could it be her appearance or the clumsy way she plays tennis that affects us? Team Captain plays an unnerving game of truth or dare while we all wait at the sidelines, most of them concerning the New Girl. Team Captain looks over to her and snorts crudely, as New Girl trips over someone's outstretched foot, racket clattering to the ground. Everyone smirks, amused, and the girl grudgingly ties her shoes. This type of behavior goes on, under the pressure of Team Captain's dares. New Girl drops to the ground cowering, while a bright green ball whizzes past her head. A few of my supposed friends
