Not only do abortions cause pain for the mother but for the fetus too. During late abortions when the fetus is about twenty weeks, the baby can feel the pain. The article “Unborn Babies Can Feel Pain” justifies that “Surgeons entering the womb to perform corrective procedures on tiny unborn babies have seen those babies flinch, jerk and recoil from sharp objects and incisions”. At twenty weeks, the fetus’s brain with a complement of brain cells and is able to receive pain signals from the body (“Unborn Babies Can Feel Pain”). Besides abortions being painful, it is said that women are more likely to suffer from breast cancer from aborting.
