Abortion is one of the most vital decisions and ethical argumentative issue especially in case of Pregnancy-associated breast cancer which is the most common solid tumor in pregnancy, it develops during pregnancy period or within 1 year after pregnancy, and presents both diagnostic and therapeutic dilemma. Back ground
Pregnancy associated breast cancer is critical and needs a crucial interventions, but it is not an indication for abortion by itself. (Amant, Loibl, Neven, & Calsteren, 2012), whenever treatment for breast cancer may be an indication for abortion.(Chervenak, &
Cullough, 2009), so the opponents and proponents viewpoints are considered in this paper.
Every year, millions of women around the world decide to do abortion (Lohr, et al.,2014), despite the American Medical Association provides general ethical guidance, but still there is a need for practical and ethical guidance for physicians to decide to do abortion or not.
Current author reviewed literatures to identify opponents and proponent's viewpoints regarding to a debatable decision of abortion in case of breast cancer during pregnancy, which is considered as a challengeable situation, the following excerpts summarize the opinion of two groups of decision makers were, the first one encouraged continuing of pregnancy with delaying of treatment programs, whereas the second group had a contrary opinion of their preference to terminate the pregnancy and initiate the treatment.
