The Assistant Teacher

The assistant teacher meandered around the room, observing students. He scolded a student for playing with a string tied to her wrist, but found a solution so that the child could still play game they wanted to. The children played while eating and are scolded by the lead teacher and asked to clean up. The students did not clean up the mess. The lead teacher grabbed a broom and swept up the mess. The lead teacher left the classroom out of ratio. The noise level in the classroom increased. The last of students arrived and did not have to do the reading or homework but got to eat snack immediately. The students asked for the lead teacher but the lead teacher was out of the classroom. The assistant made a “God’s eye” craft and says “Gold’s Eye is watch you” to children. He continued to walk around the classroom, saying it to other students encouraging them to make ones themselves, cross-like symbol. The assistant teacher did not keep track of the children departing from the center. Made another “God’s eye” Half of the classroom was left unattended while children shouted and ran; this behavior goes unnoticed by the teacher and assistant. A group of girls began to play rough, dragging each other across the carpet by their arms. The teachers remained oblivious. The teacher called all of the students to the carpet to gain control oft the situation and explain the agenda for the rest of the day. A majority of the students went to the carpet, but a handful continued to play. The teacher called for them to come over to the carpet. The room became quiet. A child was sent out of the classroom for talking back. The teacher started to read a book and engaged the students in organized conversation, but shut down unwanted conversation.
