The Aztecs were well known warriors who controlled a vast amount of Mesoamerica, to get that amount of land they would have many reasons for battle. The Aztec Warriors are the backbone of their society. The Warriors diverse way of dressing and ways of fighting made them stand out in the crowd. Inside of the Class of warriors was specific ranks. The higher the rank the more powerful and stronger the weapon, the lower the less powerful and less strong weapon. One way of moving through the ranks is through capturings. The more captured people that warriors would collect, the higher their rank would be. The highest rank was the general who would lead all the warriors into battle with whoever it may be. The lowest rank are the normal everyday men who are serving as people in the field. Another diverse thing about the Aztec warriors was their costumes. Costumes would be worn during times of war to symbolize an animal, god or whatever they would want. In the end the Aztec warriors would not wear uniforms but costumes making them one of many diverse armies. Also the Aztecs did not have a permanent army which led to all men working for the army, whatever their social status. When at a young age men would begin training to become a warrior. This allowed for the aztecs to expect all men to fight. After a battle warriors would be tired and some would work for only their empire, but some would be paid in gifts. These gifts would range from food to vast amounts of land. It allowed the aztecs to keep their warriors unified and happy.
