European workers are offered twenty to thirty days of paid vacation. I personally, work with the school district and for an employee like myself to receive that many paid vacation days I must work for my employer for over 10 years. Also, after working for the district for a year an employee is given two weeks of “sick leave” and eight hours of paid vacation. A great benefit, about this it’s that if not used, it may roll over and be added to the following years’ time. Therefore, if an employee were in need of extra maternity leave, may take advantage of the time they saved throughout the years past.
