The Consequences Of Incarnation

The Word of God, as referred by St. John, is Jesus. The Word of God became flesh to reconcile us to God, to manifest God’s love, to offer a model of holiness, to allow us to share in divine life, and to defeat the devil. He did everything out of his love. His creation was perfect, but it was the temptation of Satan that brought sin to the world. The consequence of sin required a special sacrifice that would save human beings. God becoming man to offer his father the sacrifice is that special sacrifice needed. God becoming man is known as incarnation. Incarnation is defined as “the doctrine that the second person of the Trinity assumed human form in the person of Jesus Christ and is completely both God and man” (“incarnation”). The Word became flesh to reconcile us to God. Sin was brought to the world by Adam and Eve when they wanted to be like God. He came to rescue us from sin and death. Sin was not part of God’s plan, but it is brought by Satan. Satan is a fallen angel, who is a pure spirit, which meant he does not have a body. God did not plan for us to die, but it was the consequence of sin that brought us death. We sin easily because of the material pleasures in this world. This helps Satan complete his mission easier, which is to destroy our relationship with God. However, when Christ took on human nature, he helped us defeat Satan and sin. When God created the world, he did not plan for any bad things. God’s creation is perfect and will always be. There is no flaw in them. It is by free will that he gave us that destroy the perfect creations. The world is good and will always be good, but the world is under the influence of devil wanting us to sin. God’s suffering gave us the gate of heaven, but we are to work for the key of heaven. The gate of heaven was opened for us so that sin or death cannot have power over
