The thought of a concentration camp is not a pleasant one and certainly one people don’t want to think about. Therefore, when Frankl describes the things that were happening, it truly just makes me sad all around. No one should ever wish that type of pain on anyone whether it is an enemy or a best friend. A connection I had was I did a research project on The Diary of Anne Frank and The Boy in The Striped Pajamas both telling a story of the Holocaust through the view of two children. The Diary of Anne Frank was talking about her experiences living in the attic during the Holocaust, until her and her family were captured. However, The Boy in The Striped Pajamas is in the point of view a young boy who ventures out one day and ends up meeting this boy who is on other side of a wired fence. Little does the boy know that he got himself caught in a concentration camp and ends up being killed by the gas chambers that he was led to. The connection I had was the young boy in The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and the girl in The Diary of Anne Frank both had negative experiences, especially the young boy in concentration camp.
