THE DISPENSATION OF CREATION
GENESIS 1:1
In the last chapter (Chapter 4) I had written in my introduction the following:
//Before I take up Genesis 1:1, which is the only beginning we know well, and my next topic, I would like us to examine briefly a time period starting from the time the Word-Being (son) came into existence, to the creation of the earth (Genesis 1:1). This time period I will tentatively call the Dispensation of Time/Space. What and how was godhead during this period? How was the son and what was His role?//
In this chapter we are going to examine that point in time when God actually created the earth and put man in charge of it. We should not forget that before now, the creation of the earth and man was only existent in the mind of God. Meanwhile He had created all other things created. Man was the last. So we are now going to examine the Godhead in the Dispensation of Creation.

Since probably God had already created the heavens (where He and His angels inhabited) and the stars and galaxies before he created the earth, the “light” and “stars” and “sun” and “moon” of Genesis 1:14 would probably be referring to making the heavenly bodies visible from the earth, or exposing the earth to them. It could safely be assumed that when «God created the heaven and the earth, the earth was without form and void» and was covered in a cocoon of cloud and darkness, totally invisible to the rest of the universe.
