Evangelism is the real business of life and that is getting souls saved , while discipleship helps to create other disciples. The cycle continues as people receive salvation, grow spiritually, mature, and go and make disciples. This consistent process builds a healthy body which is modeled after the body of Christ.

Likewise, an assessment of the church is significant to the overall Great Commission instituted by Christ. When leaders evaluate the health of the church, there a comparison to how the church fits into the body of Christ. Therefore, it is important to understand that a healthy church equals healthy relationships with God, the church, the family, and the world.

In order to produce healthy Christians and subsequently a healthy church, the discipline church must glorify God. Glorifying God produces disciple, which essentially builds the discipleship process within the church. This should be the believer’s priority.
As a small local church, there are three specific areas that the disciples should focus on in order to create a healthy body. First, the saints must become better equip by connecting to Jesus through spiritual formation and discipline. Several years ago the church leaders went through a year session of Lay Leadership Development to enhance their ministries.
