In the story "The Time Machine" the Time Traveler theorizes about how the human race evolved into the Eloi and the Morlocks; many of these theories reflect ideas from Darwin's work. The theories the Time Traveler composes directly tie in with ideas of evolution, Natural Selection and environmental changes.
