Parents have a huge roll in the world. They are the ones shaping the children of our world today. Someone out there is raising the next president of the United States. You would want them to be educated and very caring would you not? With the proper way of being raised we can have one of the best presidents we have ever had. Not every child will be easy so some will be more difficult and will take more work. With the proper parenting you can change the way the child will behave. There are four types of parenting. The four types of parenting are authoritarian, authoritative, neglectful, and indulgent. The parents think that things other than their child are more important and are unaware of what they are doing all the time. These children strive for attention from their parents in any way. Such as a hug or even just having a conversation about their day. Neglectful children tend to show poor self-control, handle independence poorly, and have less competent socially. Lastly indulgent parenting is when the parents are involved in the child’s life but does not place very many demands. These parents let their children do what they want, when they want to. Indulgent children often fail to learn respect for other people, have difficulty controlling their behavior, and expect to get their own way all the time from others. Without any care really from their parents, they often become their own caregiver and make their own rules for others.
