There’s something about strapping your body into the seat of the helicopter simulator knowing you will drop into the sea survival pool to sink and roll upside down. All while remaining calm enough to extricate yourself from the underwater test module. Oh, by the way, let us not forget to mention doing all this while dressed in numerous layers of heavy clothing under a survival suit to lower your risk of getting hypothermia. Certainly, there are a quite a few dudes that get-off on, that kind of shit, but this was out of her comfort zone. Overhead the bolts of lightning turned the dark night into moments of bright daylight. While the booms of the thunder reverberated throughout the platform. She thanked fortunate circumstances, she didn’t have to work on the main deck during this violent storm. However, her worries didn’t stop at herself, Duncan, Kendrick, and Torin were still exposed to the furious weather conditions. In their Selkie form they stayed relatively safe in the sea, but in their human body, they were in jeopardy as much as any other man on the platform deck. This platform which came in second, only to ones in the Buzzard oil field. Adaira finished her work shift and started out the door of her workspace when Jamie the head geologist stopped her. “Adaira, our storms out here in the North Sea are stronger than ye have experienced offshore in the Pacific. She piled the extra bunk’s pillows behind her head looking for a small measure of comfort. She closed her eyes and said a small prayer to find some relief tonight. As she started to nod off, there was a sharp rap on her cabin door. Now what, she thought to herself. She jump-up and walked the few paces to the door and threw it open with more force than she intended. Duncan stood there looking sexier than hell, sexier than a man had any right to be. One moment he filled the door frame and the next second he was in the small room consuming the space and the very air from her lungs. This male created havoc with her mind and body, she was no longer in control of either in his presence. “What!” She said with more irritation in her voice than she meant. “I was in the area and wanted to check on ye and see how ye were faring in this storm. And what in the name of Poseidon are ye
