Irisu's Three Class Detectives: The Classics Club

Improved Essays
Irisu said that the “class detectives” have formed their own theories on how the culprit managed to kill Kaito. The Classics Club would listen to the theory and think if the theory is plausible or not. While on their way going to class 2-F’s classroom, they met a student named Eba Kurako. She was a class 2-F student and was a friend of Mayu Hongou. Chitanda asked Eba what Mayu’s personality is. She said that Maya is a responsible, kind, and a student who is easy to move. They asked her what role did she do in the project but she said that she didn’t participate the project because it didn’t interest her. When they arrived at the classroom, Eba introduced the three “class detectives” that formed their own theories. They first listened to the …show more content…
She asked Houtarou if he could figure out who and how Kaito was killed. Houtarou refused to do it but Irisu said why did he reject all the theories if he won’t come up with a better one. Once again, Irisu’s great manipulation skills convinced Houtarou to figure out the culprit. The next day, Houtarou went to school highly motivated on solving the case. The club was puzzled because Houtarou’s motto was “If I don’t have to do it, I won’t do It. But if I have to do it, I’ll do it quickly” yet he is eager to solve a mystery on summer break. Chitanda was not able to go to school today because she was sick, Ibara has a duty at the library, and Satoshi has to attend extra math classes due to his failing scores. The club members were not able to help Houtarou to solve the mystery so he did it by himself. He worked for a long time until he finally figured out who the culprit is and how did the culprit kill Kaito. Irisu came to the room to listen to Houtarou’s theory. Houtarou theory states that there was a seventh character, it was the cameraman. The movie filming was bad and shaky. The camera looks like a phone camera and there were scenes that the characters would look at the camera. It would make sense that the camera works are bad because the cameraman itself is a character. Houtarou was sure that this is what Maya’s original plan was so Irisu was satisfied and thanked Houtarou. The club continued the filming the next day …show more content…
Irisu didn’t speak. Houtarou believed all the lies and fake compliments Irisu gave him to manipulate him. Irisu also managed to manipulate the club members by blackmailing them without even the club knowing. Houtarou said that Kaito wasn’t supposed to die. When Houtarou found the paper with Sherlock Holmes stories and shapes next to it. He figured out that the shapes have meanings. All the stories that were labeled with a concentric circle were all stories that had happy endings. Maya preferred the story to have a happy ending. That’s why Maya only asked for a small amount of blood because Kaito was only supposed to be injured, not killed. But Irisu and the other classmates didn’t like this idea so they made the storyline “more exciting” so they killed Kaito. Maya was angry so she asked Irisu if she could change the storyline but Irisu didn’t listen that's why Maya stopped writing the script. Irisu didn’t want the class to be disappointed so she said Maya was “sick” so she wasn’t able to finish the script. This made Eba angry and dropped her role and decided to not participate anymore. And then Irisu asked the Classics Club if they could help them without the club actually knowing that Irisu is asking if the club could finish the entire movie. Irisu denied all of this but later felt guilty and confessed. Later that night, Irisu apologized to Maya. Maya accepted the
