The artwork includes a baby 's layette - a set of clothing for a baby (bonnet, jacket, booties). The babies clothing is hand knitted and would usually seen as soft, gentle and warm. But in this work the clothes are knitted by shredded aluminum tin, adding strength to her message. Her artworks sends different messages towards the audience. Coca Cola, the soft drink used to be seen as a medicinal treatment. The Coca leaves and Kola nut were both traditional items that you ate by chewing on them for medicinal treatment and purpose. Coca Cola is the most well known brand in the world, one of the biggest cause for obesity in the world. Due to the large popularity of the drink in some countries it is cheaper to consume than fresh water. It is often seen in some countries to be given to small children as a replacement for baby milk or water. A six pack is seen as a connotation for a six pack of beer, mocking contemporary parenting. The Non born child also suggests a relation to usage as a contraceptive douche, as some believed it worked. The drink is very strong acidic and can be harmful for the body, especially in a young child. This work bonds in similarity to “Rain Has No Father”, both works use the conceptual world as symbolic meaning, a consumeristic world where products like coca cola and alcohol over power society. The products used in the artwork both reflect the negative effect that aspects of Western culture and lifestyle that they have had on invaded
