Prince Hamlet has been extremely disconsolate since the very beginning of this play. There is absolutely no possible way of changing the way he is at this point because he has just gone into a crazy state of mind. I would love to experience what it is like to see a ghost. Would it be frightening or fascinating? The first ones to see the ghost of Hamlet’s father were Horatio, Marcellus, and Barnardo. When Hamlet is with the ghost of his father, he is told how he was killed and who killed him. King Claudius killed him and at that very moment, Hamlet wanted to seek revenge. I could imagine the emotions Hamlet is going through at this part of the play. He is depressed and angry about what Claudius has done to his father. If I were Hamlet, I would be furious and want to get revenge immediately as well. “Haste me to know it, that I with wings as swift, As meditation or the thoughts of love, May sweep to my revenge” (1.5.35-37).
