Each and every one of us at some point in our lives have wished that we could correct a certain behavior. Such behaviors include bitting nails, not getting enough sleep, eating unhealthy food and smoking. These are just a few examples of what some people wish they could stop but do not have the right guidance and encouragement to do so. To break or change a behavior requires ones entire mind, body and soul.. along with the supportive help of others. The behavior i had targeted during my journey was to eliminate my coffee intake. As odd as it my sound, this behavior change targeted me socially, physically, mentally and spiritually. How? Luckily, with my tactics I have been able to transition my dependability on coffee to water and began to really appreciate water. It believe making the goal a specific goal made it a little more challenging. In the end even though I was only targeting my coffee behavior I was always targeting other behaviors which lead up to and included my coffee behavior. Having a measurable goal makes it much easier because you are able to physically see and write down everything that is taking place and visualize your progress. Time is everything and setting a date is extremely important when planning to change a behavior or lifestyle. Dates and timelines are so important because it keeps you focused and makes you feel a little pressed to achieve your goal. Without a deadline people often loliegag and say “oh ill worry about it later” rather than face the facts right now. As my journey continued I had to identify my cues and make some daily changes. This is where the mental part of this assignment kicked in and I realized I had to get in touch with the physiological part of this assuagement. I identified by everyday walks past Starbucks and dunkindonuts as major cue. Another cue was my travel coffee mug that I kept with me so I always felt the need to refill it. The third cue was my Starbucks and DunkinDOnuts apps that I have on my phone and immediately deleted them. One of the biggest issues
