In The Diary of Anne Frank Play, Miep shows courage by the way that she is always able to get to the annex and tell the Franks and Van Daans as much information that she possibly knows. On page 770, Miep goes to the annex only to tell them that the invasion has begun. She is risking her life to go and visit them, if anyone would see her, she could have given away the Franks hiding place and Miep could be seriously punished. On page 702, Mr. Frank speaks to Miep, “I know what you went through, you and Mr Kraler. I'll remember it as long as I live.” - Mr. Frank is very grateful for Miep helping to hide them, and he knows that they suffer because of their crime. Anne Frank has a lot of courage to be able to give up her ordinary life and go into hiding with a family she isn't familiar with. Otto Frank is courageous because he risks the lives of his family and the Van Daans by agreeing to help them all hide in the secret annex. Although everyone inside the annex is brave, I believe that it is the people on the outside, like Miep and Mr. Kraler that are truly the most courageous
