Third, emotionality is the frequency and intensity a child displays positive and negative emotional expression. Fourth, soothability is how the child responds to the parents attempts to sooth the child when he or she is upset. Fifth, sociability is how much the child is interested in others and whether or not the interest is negative or positive. Sixth, adaptability is how well the child is able to adjust to changes. Finally, quality of mood is the general level of happiness or unhappiness. My virtual child was categorized to be a slow-to-warm-up baby which meant she was not a fan of new situations or people. When one of my friends would visit that she was not familiar with, Sofie did not want to leave my side. She was never extremely happy or sad about any situation either. This does not mean she never felt either of these emotions, it is just that her emotional reactions were never extreme. She would cry like a normal baby would if she was hungry or needed changed but she never cried for hours and hours on end. Her activity level was also lower compared to easy babies.
